Somebody up there hates you

The most recent chapter of my book that I read was chapter 6
The most important line in that chapter was the first line. His uncle has sneaked him out for his last time trick or treating. And he knows one of the nurses in the hospice so she is going to cover for them
"I could have stayed in those 3 blocks all night , kids running around yelling and happy" I think this is the most important line in this chapter because it shows how it is really sad and boring in the ward and how even seeing others playing and being happy in the streets could make him happy.

You could relate this book to the world because it makes you realize what thousands of kids are going through all over the world and it is more real because the authors own son was in the same position as the boy in the novel.
The best thing about this book in my opinion is that the author knows all about the topic so it makes it better to read in many ways

my independent reading

My independent reading book is called somebody up there hates you

The novel is mostly set in a cancer hospice. Where there is a 17 year old boy and his friend Sylvie who have had all the cancer treatments and they have both now been told they only have a few months to live so of course all the doctors and nurses have all these plans to keep him alive but he has his own plans for how to live the last few months of his life is “I’m not dead yet so I might as well keep it interesting I mean we are kids hospice prisoners or not”. They have come up with a new name for their disease they all it somebody up there hates you syndrome and that’s where the book gets its name.

The book is mostly about all the things that they get up to keep their lives interesting like he gets his uncle to sneak him out for one last Halloween night and pulling pranks on the harpist that plays all the time outside the elevator. But when they are out doing something one night Sylvie gets a scare, and Sylvie’s dad didn’t like him much any way but now after that he absolutely despises him. So from then on her parents stayed with her day and night to make sure she doesn’t go to see him.

summer reading

my summer reading book was the hunger games
The book is set in the future in a place called panem in America. In panem there are 12 districts and the Capitol. The Capitol controls all 12 districts and it is also the most advanced and rich place in panem and district 12 is extremely poor and they have nearly nothing people are living in houses with no running water and they have no food because they can't afford to buy it. The main character in the story is Katniss Everdeen the story is also told through her eyes. Katniss does illegal hunting across the border of district 12 in the out of bounds area to get some extra money to buy food and things.

The hunger games is an annual event where one boy and one girl aged 12-18 are selected from each district through a kind of lottery pick where they put the names of  all the boys and girls names into two bowls and one from each is picked and they will be put in to compete in the hunger games, where they will fight to the death and the one person that is still alive after it they will win and never need to go to do it again and they will get a nice house and they will get a pay of a great amount of money each month, but district twelve never wins so they all no they stand nearly no chance. And so that year on the reaping day primrose Everdeen Katniss's little sister got chosen but Katniss volunteered to take her place, then the boy got chosen Peeta Mellark who was the bakers son and one night he had seen Katniss when he was out feeding the pigs the burned bread and he threw it over to Katniss and ran back inside. So then they got to say their last goodbyes and they got taken away to the capital to train and get sponsors for a few days before they go to compete in the games.
